Melissa Rose Promoted to President of Event Works, New Division of Marketing Works
 

[June 12, 2023] Marketing Works, a full-service marketing and public relations agency, established a new event planning and management division, Event Works, and promoted long-time Vice President Melissa Rose to serve as President of the division. Melissa will continue to serve concurrently in her existing role of Vice President of Marketing Works.
 

Founded in 2002 by Ron Gold, Marketing Works provides comprehensive marketing services, including public relations, branding, design, content creation, digital marketing, social media, event management, government relations, and more to diverse clients in the New York metropolitan area, with an emphasis on the nonprofit sector. Since joining Marketing Works in 2017, Melissa has helped dozens of clients meet their goals through marketing, branding, graphic design, public relations, social media, fundraising and event planning. In addition to helping clients fine-tune their messaging, expand their media presence and reach new audiences, she has applied nearly two decades of event planning experience to stage memorable events of all types and sizes. Whether it’s an intimate ribbon cutting or a full-scale fundraising gala, Melissa works closely with clients to understand their unique vision and objectives, and then meticulously plans and coordinates every detail to bring that vision to life.
 

Marketing Works launched the Event Works division to reflect the growing importance of event planning and management to the company and its clients, and Melissa was the natural choice to head it up.

Prior to joining Marketing Works, Melissa served as Event Manager at Long Island Business News (LIBN) and, previously, Director of Marketing for Groovecar, Inc. Throughout her distinguished 20-year career, Melissa has been active in the professional and nonprofit communities. She currently serves on the Board of Trustees and as Secretary of Long Island Coalition Against Bullying. Previously, she served for six years on the Board of Directors of Public Relations Professionals of Long Island.
 

Melissa has received many industry accolades and awards, including the 2018 Leadership Excellence award from Long Island Business News; 2017 Power Woman of Long Island award from the Long Island Press; 2012 Top 40 Under 40 award from Long Island Business News; 2012 Top 30 Business Professionals Under 30 award from the Huntington Chamber of Commerce; and the 2011 Rising Star award from Public Relations Professionals of Long Island.
 

Melissa graduated from New York Institute of Technology with a master’s degree in communications and public relations.
